Well, the Porsche Design BlackBerry has finally been named. It looks like RIM's BlackBerry, it calls the Porsche P'9981. It is comparable with the BlackBerry Bold 9900 but with stainless steel keyboard and a leather front and rebuilt. Since RIM announced the BlackBerry playbook I know many companies and administrators even regular users were curious about the security model. RIM has done quite a lot with BlackBerry Bridge, but I noticed that it is a document that clearly details published the entire security model of BlackBerry Playbook. It's actually quite cool, as in certain applications can work or personal mode and run as RIM controls, and plans to administrators can manage in the future. You even have to suggest that future applications can work on the intranet via the BlackBerry Bridge access without VPN. Kind of cool!

If you ever interested in how RIM secures the operating system and the bridge connecting the BlackBerry playbook I recommend reading their PDF manual titled "BlackBerry Playbook Security Technical Overview." I have tried to grasp it, but found that the summary was almost as long as a PDF. This is just in via TechCrunch: RIM is still on a buying spree, this time bought Tungle.Me startup, a social calendaring application / platform. I admit I had never heard of it, but TechCrunch puts it:

Tungle.Me offers users a free web-based application that you calendars to companies and platforms, schedule meetings with individuals or groups within or outside their company and propose multiple meeting times in invitations. The service is currently synchronizing with a number of calendar applications including Outlook, Google Calendar and Apple iCal.

According to TechCrunch, the application is very popular with users in hundreds of universities and a large number of Fortune 1000 companies.

I've seen quite a few people on the calendar features of the BlackBerry, or rather to lament their absence. While most consumers do not need any kind of advanced features, managers tend to lack of this or that other, what evil. Let's hope it's good enough to suppress such desires, and that, yes, of course, it is added to the playbook as well. The text book has been on the market for almost a week and when the application is not much choice. Just like any new platform it will take some time. Critics may say the playbook for the lack of apps? and I'll tell you they realistically be expected only in the app store come about? Be slow with any new platform, app developers build and it takes over time. None of the other tablets had hundreds of applications available at launch, but they were constructed, as people began to adopt the platform. Since launch day, I've noticed that App World is more apps added every day. It's hard to say how many applications have been available since RIM has no app count by category added, but the selection seems to increase steadily, to get as approved apps. I've really tried to do an overview of the BlackBerry Playbook in bridge mode, but it looks like RIM slipped into another "security feature" in the device. If the BlackBerry Playbook bridged with a BlackBerry smartphone is the screenshot function we have not worked before. One of the nice things about the BlackBerry Playbook is that it uses the industry-standard micro USB charging and data port. While this is all well and good, I am sure that all BlackBerry Playbook owners have noticed that the charger for the BlackBerry Playbook is not exactly the same ... Nicholas showed us only by showing that when he tried using a regular BlackBerry smartphone charger to the playbook, it took forever to load and barely more than half dead battery in 6 + hours filled.
